At midnight on the 24th of May, Dick King, "Mlamulankunzi" - the peacemaker, left Durban with his companion Ndongeni, to begin the epic 10 day, 950km dash on horseback that ultimately changed the course of history.

This year, Barry Armitage and Joe Dawson retraces history and will not only face the challenges of traversing cityscapes and farmlands, but will also ride through the remote and dramatic landscape of the Wild Coast.
