If of you can remember in the 3rd season of Cooked Justin made a particularly ‘savoury’ chicken baked in bread dough. Well tonight Tina Beaumont, the proprietor of this recipe and a couple other mates would be coming for dinner. So Justin and Tina met at Jeanne’s house and proceeded to show a new bunch of friends what the recipe is meant to taste like.
The real recipe calls for a bread dough with a bit of salt in it (not 1:1 salt to flour as it was previously thought) to cover well spiced whole chickens and then baked in whatever fashion best suit you. We did them in both a conventional as well a pizza oven. Bake for 2 hours until the meat is melt in your mouth and is falling off the bone; and serve with stack of roasted veg, topped with feta and VOILA! The real chicken baked in bread dough was made, properly this time.
It’s that easy.

I watched this episode whilst in Israel but, I missed the bit on the spices. May you please give more details on the type of spices to be used as well as the preparation for stuffing the chicken. Hope to prepare the dish for tomorrow night’s dinner. Ta.
